About us
At a glance

The US Department of Education, National Center for Education Statistics, Young Children´s access to Computer at Home and at School in 1999 and 2000, indicates that very often, American Schools have simply applied technology to the existing ways of teaching and learning, with marginal results in student achievement. In the last couple of years, an increasing transformation has taken place, providing access primary sources, exposing students to a variety of perspectives and enhancing the overall learning experience through multimedia, simulations and interactive source.

In addition, No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), signed into Law by President Bush in January 2002, has ambitious goals: ending the achievement gap between rich and poor and white and minority students and improve the academic performance of all students by 2014.

This is because by 2005, the average results were truly disturbing: more than 85% of African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans are not proficient in reading in the 4th grade, according to data from NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress). The average were similar in mathematics with 90% of African and Hispanic American students not proficient in the 4th grade.

The trend of low expectations compounds as students are passed along to the next grade level. By 12th grade, only 3% of African Americans are proficient in mathematics, only 4% of Hispanics, 10% of Native Americans, 20% of Whites and 34% of Asian Americans. Few students have competence in science or mathematics. The NCLB act assures that nobody will choose who succeeds. The People of United States must ensure that all students are expected to learn in schools.
